Luthfi Mardiansyah, Chairman of CHAPTERS Indonesia, on December 1st, 2023 participated at the workshop on the topic of Business & Human Rights, conducted by the Switzerland Embassy and SwissCham Indonesia in Jakarta.

The workshop provided a unique platform for exchanging insights on business and human rights risks, prevention strategies, and promoting good practices through inclusive dialogue. A crucial avenue in supporting companies to meet their responsibility in respecting human rights. Keynote speaker Dr. Dhanaha Putra, Director General of the Indonesia Ministry Law & Human Rights shed light on Indonesia’s newly launched Presidential Regulation No. 60 of 2023 on the National Strategy for Business and Human Rights (Stranas BHAM). The Workshops, expertly moderated by the Foundation For International Human Rights Reporting Standards (FIHRRST) , covered a spectrum of topics—from human rights standards to due diligence and remedy mechanisms.

Professor Christine Kaufmann, Chair of the OECD Working Party on Responsible Business Conduct, wrapped up the day with a compelling webinar on the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises.
By committing to human rights in business, the company not just aligning with principles—it’s a strategic move contributing to the 2030 Agenda.  Let’s pave the way for goals like sustainable economic growth, inclusive societies, and a revitalized Global Partnership for Sustainable Development.
