About Us
Chapters (Center for Healthcare Policy and Reform Studies) is an independent organization, observing and conducting studies of public policy related to public health and healthcare technology in Indonesia.
Since its establishment in May 2017, Chapters has been actively conducting various studies, discussions and information dissemination among stakeholders.
About Founder
Dr. Luthfi Mardiansyah has over 22 years’ experience in healthcare industry both in Indonesia and China. In the last 15 years, he has been very active in advocacy to relevant stakeholders to have better healthcare system in Indonesia; to ensure the right implementation of Universal Healthcare Coverage, participate in formulating public policies in healthcare that right on target. He delivered his ideas, suggestions and opinions in many different healthcare seminars in Indonesia, Singapore and Philippine, which attended by government officials, healthcare professionals, academicians, journalists and many other healthcare stakeholders. Through Chapters Indonesia, he continues in providing his thoughts and feedback to relevant stakeholders in formulating public healthcare policies.
Luthfi graduated from Medical Faculty Trisakti University Jakarta and has attended several business courses in Michigan Business School US (2000), Macquarie Graduate School of Management Sydney Australia (2003) and IMD Business School Switzerland (2012). And he holds certificates of Qualified Risk Governance Professional – QRGP (2021), Financial Services: Shariah Insurance (2021) and attended Lemhanas program: Dialog Kebangsaan 2014.
Luthfi has leadership experiences in many different multinational companies, including postions as General Manager of Suzhou Capsugel PR.China (2002-2007), a subsidiary of Pfizer Inc, CEO of Pfizer Indonesia (2018-2010), CEO of Novartis Indonesia (2011-2016) and currently sitting as Independent Commissioner at HM Sampoerna, a Philip Morris International company, Zurich Syariah Insurance and Merck Indonesia Tbk.
Luthfi was the founder and 1st Chairman of SwissCham Indonesia (2018-2020), and currently sit as the Chairman of Board Supervisory SwissCham Indonesia. He was the Chairman of IPMG, an association of multinational pharmaceutical companies during 1999-2016 and he sit in the Board of Management of Eurocham Indonesia in 2011-2014.
